Passionate about helping small business owners and service professionals, Sandra started her professional career with her first love- accounting but little did she know that she would be working with Solicitors for most of her corporate life.

Managing, organising but most of all keeping their accounts in ‘good order’.

For over two decades she has held several posts assisting Solicitors in different capacities from Accounts Manager, Practice Manger and Financial Controller.

As the owner of S& C Legal Accounting Services Ltd she specialises in book-keeping and assisting Solicitors in other managerial functions from marketing, training, over-seeing SRA audits and bespoke Consultancy services.

Since passing the Institute of Cashiers & Administrators (ILCA) , now the Institute of Legal Finance Management (ILFM) and achieving the Wilfred Owen Award for excellence 1998, Sandra has dedicated herself to assisting various Solicitors practices from start-ups to well established firms.

As an ex-council member of the former ILCA she assisted the committee with lobbying Solicitors firms to ensure their accounts’ staff was fully qualified to fulfil the ever increasing standards of the Solicitors Accounts Rules set then by the Law Society.

“I realised that I was s very good at assisting law firms in various capacities and I was very privileged to have been taught by one of the founder members of the former ILCA, Barry Hilton, who inspired me to advance my career in legal accounting” explains Jones.

Jones explains “Back then, there were no requirements for legal cashiers to be qualified and legal cashiers were responsible for all aspects of the book-keeping of the firm, from daily client and office transactions to VAT, Payroll and often-times Practice management.

Legal cashiers were expected to know and understand everything regarding legal accounts but for some cashiers who did not have formal qualifications or training, this added even greater responsibility, as Solicitors were then faced with the ever increasing stringent criteria of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.”

By then, Jones was qualified and her knowledge and expertise in her field was paramount to her successes.

In 2004, Jones established S & C Legal Accounting Services Ltd and specializes legal book-keeping and financial management reporting services. Being a spiritual entrepreneur and her love of helping others, Sandra advanced her career even further and qualified as Life coach and Social Media Marketing Consultant.
